Hey Everyone!

I hope you’re all holding up during this corona virus/COVID19 quarantine and are all healthy!

I’m not going to lie this season has been a little tough for me.

My health hasn’t been the best, with the changes of the seasons it has wreaked havoc with my POTS. I’m not sleeping that great due to my pain being really bad.

I found myself being a negative Nelly.

But…

Tuesday night, my family was planting our garden and I wasn’t able to help out as much as I wanted to.

I ended up having to sit down because my POTS was just giving me a fit, while I was sitting God began to speak to my heart.

He told me to look around and find all of the things to be joyful for:

  • Getting to spend time with my family.
  • Having the ability to be outside on this gorgeous day.
  • I have a beautiful home to live in.
  • My family doesn’t have COVID19. (We had a big scare a week prior and God answered prayers in a BIG way)
  • We are going to have a big beautiful garden and hopefully it will produce lots of veggies for the following months.

See when we slow down and stop focusing on all of the negative there is so much good in our lives.

One Bible verse that always sticks out to me is:

James 1:2-3 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,  because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

NIV

God is teaching me so much during this tough season but knowing it’s going to be fruitful makes it all the worth it.

Something else that helps me on really tough days is this quote I saw one time:

“Everyday might not be good but there is something good in everyday.”

Change your prospective and your life much like the plants in our garden will become more fruitful.

  2. Really enjoyed your post! I’m so proud that you are able to call on our Father when you have doubts. He IS GOOD. Pray for you each day and cant wait until you get to go to Vanderbilt again. It’s always good to have medical doctors that you like and God has provided you that doctor there. Keep your chin up and call on Him, He cares for you.
