Worth- noun; usefulness or importance, as to the world, to a person, or for a purpose

How you are viewed by others.

How you view yourself.

The label that is continuously put on you, whether it be good or bad.

How you are measured. By your usefulness and importance or your uselessness and insignificance.

Worth is something that for most people defines who you are.

The worst part about it is that we let other people define our worth.

We let friends, significant others, parents, teachers, doctors, etc define what we think about us.

But why?

Do their opinions really matter?

How come they get to decide what I’m worth?

What price did they pay for me?

They didn’t pay a single penny for me. Most of them wouldn’t think twice before throwing me aside when a better offer comes along.

Why listen to what they think?

Don’t

They didn’t pay a price for you.

Jesus paid the ultimate price for you because He loves you. He will NEVER put you down. He will never tell you that you aren’t worth anything. No matter how broken and torn you may feel.

You are sons and daughters of the King. He calls you His friends not His servants.

Why?

Because, He loves you!

So even those of us living with chronic illnesses and our bodies are failing us every single day, Jesus tells us that we are still worth something to him.

God tells us that we are, “Fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Through the good and the bad, he can use it all.
